该客轮总长81．50米，宽15．20米，型深13．40米，吃水1．60米，总客位128人位。该厂在充分吸取前两艘船改建工程经验的基础上，进一步完善设计，科学管理，精心施工，比合同规定提前17天交船(合同规定290天，实际273天)，于1991年10月12日下水，被专家誉为"860"系列改建样板船。
